GROUPS
Our volunteer-led interest groups are at the heart of our u3a.
With 52 interest and activity groups to choose from, there is plenty for our members to do. Our groups are volunteer-led by our peers. Where necessary, specialist leaders are employed, for example fitness instructors and our choir's Musical Director. Any general questions regarding our groups should be directed to our Groups Co-ordinators Vipin ( Groups A-J) and Joan (Groups K-Z). Contact our: Groups Coordinators

The majority of groups are free to members, apart from costs such as photocopying, and where a group is held in a member's home a contribution towards refreshments is invited. Some groups charge subs to cover expenses such as venue hire, specialist leaders and essential equipment.
New groups are starting up regularly; details will be published in our monthly newsletter.

Some groups are very popular and, regrettably, may be unable to accept new members; this could be due to space limitations of a venue or safety restrictions on numbers.
If that is the case, you are advised to ask to be added to a waiting list or maybe you could consider starting a new group? There is plenty of help available to enable members to do so. Just contact our Groups Co-ordinators, Vipin ( Groups A-J) and Anne (Groups K-Z).
In addition to our interest groups, our Visits and Outings Team offer many trips throughout the year. This link will take you to "What's Coming Up?"
You are invited to enquire about joining a group by sending an e-mail to the group facilitator using the links below. Non-members may attend one Group or General Meeting as a visitor for a "taster" ( fee applies) before applying for membership. See our WELCOME page for details on how to apply for membership and for the relevant application form.
